Abstract
Objective To study the protective effects of baicalin extract against acute liver injury in mice.Methods Baicalin was perfused stomache to the mice with liver injury by carton tetrachloride and D-galactoasmine.The activities of aspartate transaminase(AST),alanine transaminase(ALT),superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione perioxidase(GSH-Px);and the content of malondialdehyde(MDA) in serum were investigated using colorimetric method.Results Baicalin significantly reduced acute liver injury induced by carton tetrachloride and D-galactoasmine,by means of decreasing ALT and AST in serum;the activities of SOD,GSH-Px in treat group were higher than that of model group and the content of MDA in treat group was lower than that of model group,respectively.Conclusion Baicalin has protective effects on mice with acute hepatic injury induced by carton tetrachloride and D-galactoasmine.
