Abstract

Objective:To explore the expression and diagnostic significance of P504S,p63 and 34βE12 in prostatic adenocarcinoma. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of P504S,p63 and 34βE12 in 30 cases of prostate carcinoma(PCa),49 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH),6 cases of atypical adenomatous hyperplasia(AAH) and 29 cases of prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia(PIN).Results: P504S was positive in 28 of total 30 PCa cases and focally positive in 1 case,it was focally positive in 5 PIN cases.PCa group was significantly higher than BPH,AAH and PIN in positive of P504S(P0.01),and focally positive had no significantly difference between groups(P0.05).p63 and 34βE12 was negative in 29 of total 30 PCa cases and focally positive in 1 case,it was positive in 49 cases of BPH,4 cases of AAH and 26 cases of PIN.2 cases of AAH and 3 cases expressed focally positive for p63 and 34βE12.The positive expression in PCa group was significantly lower than in other groups(P0.01),and focally positive had no significantly difference between groups(P0.05).Conclusion: P504S is a sensitive and specific marker for prostate carcinoma. The reasonable use of P504S,p63 and 34βE12 detection helps to improve the diagnostic accuracy and detection rate of PCa.
