Abstract
The present paper presents 8 species of the genus Agrypon Forester collected from Beijing, Heilongjiang, Xinjiang, Guangdong and Guangxi, China. Among them 6 are new to science and 2 are recorded for the first time in this country. A key to the species is provided in the Chinese text. All specimens are, deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica. 1. Agrypon chinensis, sp. nov. (fig. 1)Male: Front wing 9 mm long.Closely related to Agrypon punctatum Wang, but different by: 4th flagellar segment of antenna 3.3 times as long as its width, OOD as long as IOD, lower part of face smooth and almost without any punctures, sculptural part of mesoscutum coarser, perpectal earina with a V-shaped notch medioventraUy, front eoxa polygonal and not round, inner side of its front margin keeled, and genitalia differently structured.Holotype ♂, Badaling, Beijing, 700m, 11, Ⅷ. 1972.2. Agrypon hainanensis, sp, nov.Female: Front wing 7 mm long. This species resembles Agrypon facetum Enderlein, hut differs from it in: antennae as long as or a little longer than body, mesoscutum with fine and dense punctures, no-tauli with sculptures, scutellum convex, propodeum with clearly defined and polished first kteral area, spiracle of abdominal tergite 1 located at posterior 0.3 of its length arid nearer to the apex of its sternite, and greater part of thorax yellow to reddish yellow in colour.Holotype ♀, Qiongzhong, Hainan Island, Guangdong, 400m, 17, Ⅶ. 1960.3. Agrypon yanshanensis, sp. nov. (fig. 2) Male: Front wing 6.5 mm long,This species is similar to Agrypon suzukii (Matsumura), but is recognizable by. OOD 0.8 times as long as IOD, face and clypeus with very coarse punctures, the middle of clypeus convex, mesopleuron with strong and irregular sculptures, body uniformly xed-yellow to red in colour.Holotype♂, Yanshan, Guilin, Guangxi, 200m, 13, Ⅶ. 1963.4. Agrypon flavomaculatum, sp. nov.Female: Front wing 6 mm long. This species allies to Agrypon fleorius (Thunberg) and Agrypon varitarsum (We-smael), but can be distinguished from Agrypon flexorius (Thunberg) by; frons with even and regular punctures, nervellus being arcuate and not intercepted, thorax with yellow macullae; and from Agrypon vavitarsum (Wesmael) by: mesoscutum with dense punctures, notauli not clear, hind coxa yellow-red and without dark maeulation.Holotype♀, Yanqi Hui Aut. Co., Xinjiang, 950-1170m, 25. Ⅷ. 1958.5. Agrypon xinjiangensis, sp. nov.Female: Front wing 6.5 mm long. This species resembles Agrypon clandestinum (Gravenhorst) and Agrypon haina-nensis, sp, nov., but can be separated from Agrypon clandestinum (Gravenhorst) by: antennae as long as body, mesoseutum and the middle of mesopleurum densely punctured, apex of mesoscutum with clear and regular transverse earinae, notauli sculptured; and from Agrypon hainanensis, sp. nov. by: the middle of frons with weak longitudinal earina and its sides coarsely and densely punctured, the middle of temple distinctly widened and the widest part of it about 0.6 times as wide as eyes, ovipositor about 0.6 times as long as abdominal tergite 2, face, clypeus, lower apex of temple, mandibles (except apical tooth), legs and tegulae all yellow to red-yellow Holotype ♀, Yining City, Xinjiang, 540-630 m, 5, Ⅷ. 1957, 6. Agrypon clavellatum, sp. nov. (fig. 3)Male: Front wing 8 mm long. This species is related to the preceding new species and Agrypon japonicum Uch-ida, but can be separated from Agrypon xinjiangensis, sp. nov. by: frons wrinkled, face with dense coarser punctures and its upper margin slightly lower than margin of anten-nal sockets and with a small concavity in the middle, mesopleuron with even and denser punctures, apex of propodeum extending to the middle of hind coxae, and apex of ovipositor sheath distinctly swollen; and from Agrypon japonicum Uehida by: first segment of flagellum not curved, scutellum convex and punctured, but not depressed, nervellus not intercepted.Holotype ♂, Harbin, Heilongjiang, 27,Ⅵ. 1934. Allotype ♀, Shicheng (Fengeheng County), Liaoning, 6, Ⅶ. 1952.
