Abstract
To investigate the physiological reaction of its fresh preservation to penicillin and gibberellin, the adjusting effect of different preservatives with different concentrationed penicillin and gibberellin in the senescence process of Dianthus caryophyllus cut flowers was studied. The result showed:the preservatives with different concentrationed penicillin and gibberellin could all prolong vase-life,increase fresh weight, flower’s open degree and peroxidase (POD) activity, improve water balance, and maintain stability of membrane in petals during vase-holding of Dianthus caryophyllus cut flowers. The best longevity came from the treatment of 2% sucrose+300 mg/L 8-HQS+100 mg/L gibberellin, the best quality came from the treatment of 2% sucrose+300 mg/L 8-HQS+300 mg/L penicillin.
