Abstract

Objective To study the chemical constituents in ethyl acetate fraction from Viola yedoensis. Methods The constituents were isolated by various chromatographic techniques( silica gel,RP-MPLC,and PHPLC) and their structures were determined on the basis of their spectroscopic data,as well as literatures. Results Eight compounds were obtained and identified as quercetin- 3- O- β- D- glucosyl-( 1- 4)- O- α- L- rhamnoside( 1),keampferol- 3- O- rutinoside( 2),keampferol- 3- O- β- D- glucosyl-( 1- 2)- O- α- L- rhamnoside( 3),6,7- dihydroxycoumarin( 4),7- hydroxy- 8- methoxycoumarin( 5),6- hydroxy- 7-[O- α- L- rhamnosyl-( 6- 1)- O- β- D- glucoside]coumarin( 6),naringenin( 7),and luteolin( 8). Conclusion Compounds 1,3,and 6 were isolated from Viola genus for the first time,and compounds 2 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
