Breeding of Youyan 817,a Hybrid Rape Variety with Yellow Seed,Double-low and High Oil Content

Youyan 817,a hybrid rape variety with 0.2% erucic acid content and 28.35μmol glucosinolates/(g/cake),bred from 850A(a recessive nucleic male sterile line with yellow seed,low erucic acid content and low glucosinolates content)× HF16-1400(a restorer line with low erucic acid content and low glucosinolates content) was approved by Zhengjiang Crops Variety Examination Committee and State Crops Variety Examination Committee in 2009 and 2010 respectively.The average yield,oil yield and oil content of Youyan 817 in regional tests of the upper reaches of Yangtze River reached 174.62 kg/667m2,79.2 kg/667m2 and 45.32%,6.6%,9.34% and 1% higher than Youyan 10 respectively.
