Abstract
Objective:To determine the feasibility as well as the advantages and disadvantages of propofol combined with parecoxib on painless abortion. Methods:A total of 120 early pregnant women undergoing painless abortion were randomly divided into 3 groups. They received 0.05mg fentanyl followed by propofol(2mg·kg-1) intravenously, intravenous injection of propofol alone(2.5mg·kg-1),or parecoxib 40mg 10min before intravenous propofol(2mg·kg-1),respectively.Additional propofol doses(30~50mg) were applied when body-motion occurred. The changes in respiratory and circulatory functions, anesthetic and analgesic effects, postoperative recovery profile and adverse reactions were observed before and after anesthesia. Results:The operations were successful in all the subjects.Women in each group showed circulatory depression to a certain extent after anesthesia, especially in propofol alone group(P0.05).The incidence of respiratory depression was higher in fentanyl+propofol group than other groups(P0.01).The rate of insufficient analgesia in the operation and postoperative abdominal pain were significantly higher in propofol alone group(P0.05).The postoperative recovery was quicker in parecoxib+propofol group than in other groups. The propofol dose was less in 2 combination groups than in propofol alone group(P0.05).Conclusion:Propofol combined with parecoxib can fulfill the requirement for painless artificial abortion. This anesthetic combination can decrease the incidence of insufficient analgesia and respiratory depression compared with fentanyl+propofol or propofol alone. Therefore,it is suitable to apply in the painless artificial abortion.
