Abstract

Objective To analyze the level of CEA,NSE and CYFRA21-1 in pleural effusion so as to provide scientific basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods The pleural effusion samples were collected from 30 patients with malignant pleural effusion,18 patients with tuberculous pleural effusion and 23 patients with parapneumonic effusion.The levels of CEA,NSE and CYFRA21-1 in pleural effusion were detected by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay.Results The levels of three tumor markers in malignant pleural effusion group was significantly higher than tuberculous pleural effusion and parapneumonic effusion(P0.01);the positive rate of CYFRA-21 was 80%,higher than CEA and NSE(P0.01),in single detection ;The positive rate of the combination of the three markers was 90.0%,significantly higher than signle detection.Conclusion The levels of CEA,NSE and CYERA21-1 in pleural effusion are valuable for differentiation of benign ones from malignant ones.The combined detection can increase significantly the sensitivity of the test.
