Abstract
【Objective】To explore the expression of MMP-9 protein in different time after focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in rats.【Methods】The middle cerebral artery occlusion 90 min and reperfusion 12 h,24 h,48 h and 7 d models were built in rat.The MMP-9 mRNA level and the expressions of MMP-9 protein were respectively observed by Real time PCR and Western blotting.【Results】The expressions of MMP-9 protein increased remarkably after ischemia and reperfusion 12 h,24 h,48 h and 7 d.It had a peak at 48 h,and started to decrease at 7 d.【Conclusion】The expressions of MMP-9 protein increased in the focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in the rat, this indicated MMP-9 played an important role in focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion
