Comparison of dynamic electrocardiogram with coronary angiography for diagnosing coronary heart disease

Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic value of coronary heart disease by using comparison of dynamic electrocardiogram with coronary angiography.Methods:78 patients with suspicious coronary heart disease were examined with treadmill exercise test and coronary angiography,the diagnostic results were compared and determined.Results:The results of treadmill exercise test were positive in 45 patients and coronary angiography were positive in 35 patients and negative in 9 patients.The results of treadmill exercise were negative in 33 patients and coronary angiography were negative in 25 patients of them and positive in 8 patients of them.The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, false positive rate were 58.4%(35/60),44.4%(8/18),58.4%(35/60),55.1%(43/78),respectively.The dynamic electrocardiogram false negative rate of a single branch coronary artery was higher than that of multibranch coronary arteries.Conclu-sion:The dynamic electrocardiogram may be used as a screening test for diagnosis of coronary artery disease and the combination of dy-namic electrocardiogram with coronary angiography can increase the diagnostic specificity and accuracy of coronary heart disease.
