Abstract

Objective:To investigate the relationship between the estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR) and brachial-ankle velocity wave pulse(baPWV) in Healthy Population. Methods:A total of 748 healthy subjects from regular physical check-up from 2005 to 2010 in our institution were recruited. They were divided into 4 groups according to the level of baPWA(cm/s) as baPWV≤1103.3 group,n=187,baPWV 1103.4~1226.75 group,n=190,baPWV 1226.76~1328.62 group,n=185 and baPWV≥1328.63 group,n=186.The same population was divided into another 4 groups according to eGFR(mL/min/1.73m2) as eGFR ≥ 89.4 group,n=188,eGFR 83.1~89.3 group,n=187,eGFR 76.1~83.0 group,n=188 and eGFR 50.4~76.0 group,n=185.eGFR and baPWV were analyzed with different parameters in each group. Results:As the increased level of baPWV,the subjects presented the increased age,BMI,blood pressure,TG fasting blood sugar, and the decreased eGFR and HDL-C,P0.001 respectively. As the increased level of eGFR,the subjects had the decreased age,BMI and baPWV,P0.001 respectively, while the systolic blood pressure,TG,fasting blood sugar had no obvious changes. With the controlled age,BMI and smoking factors, the baPWV was negatively correlated to eGFR(r=-0.136,P0.05). Conclusion:Decreased renal function is correlated with the cardiovascular risk factor,baPWV at certain point in healthy population.
