Abstract
【Objective】To evaluate the method and effect of orbital reconstruction with Medpor implantation surgery for the repairment of orbital wall fracture.【Methods】A total of 32 orbital wall blowout fracture patients received orbital reconstruction with Medpor implantation.Data included enopthalmos, motility, diplopia and visual acuity were collected before and after operation.【Results】All the enophthalmos were corrected. No diplopia, enophthalmos, visual acuity impairment or implant extrusion were found during the follow-up periold.【Conclusions】For orbital wall blowout fracture patients with complication, orbital reconstruction should be performed as early as passible.Medpor implants is manufactured by a modern biomaterial with liner high-density polyethylene and is an ideal implant for orbital reconstruction.
