Abstract
Objective To evaluate the method and effect of orbital reconstruction with Medpor implantation surgery for the repair of medial and inferior orbital wall fracture.Methods 12 medial and inferior orbital wall blowout fracture patients received orbital reconstruction with Medpor implantation.Data were collected on pre and postoperative enopthalmos,motility,diplopia and visual acuity.Results All the enophthalmos were corrected.No diplopia,enophthalmos,visual acuity impairment or implant extrusion were found during the follow-up periold.Conclusion For medial and inferior orbital wall blowout fracture patients with indications,the orbital reconstruction should be performed shortly after the trauma.Medpor is an ideal implant for orbital reconstruction.
