Comparison of anesthetic effect of sufentanil or remifentanil combined with propofol on induced abortion

Objective To observe the anesthetic effect of sufentanil or remifentanil combined with propofol on induced abortion and explore the optimal combination of anesthetic drugs for induced abortion.Methods A total of 200 healthy early pregnant women for induced abortion were equally randomized into two groups.Sufentanil group(group S) was administered with sufentanil combined with propofol.Remifentanil group(group R) was administered with remifentanil together with propofol.Changes of systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),mean arterial pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR),and oxygen saturation(SpO2) and intraoperative and postoperative analgesic effects were observed.Results All the patients were satisfied with the analgesia,especially the group S after the treatment.Postoperative VAS scores were lower in the group S than in the group R.SBP,DBP,MAP,HR,and SpO2 were significantly decreased after the induction of anesthesia in both groups,whereas decrease of SpO2 was more significant in the group R.Conclusion Compared with remifentanil,sufentanil combined with propofol has better postoperative analgesic effect and less side effects such as respiratory depression,being a safe and effective analgesic option for induced abortion.
