Clinical effects of propofol combined with low dose sufentanil on anesthesia for artificial abortion

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of low dose sufentanil combined with propofol on anesthesia for induced abortion.Methods 80 ASAⅠ~Ⅱpatients of early pregnancy with voluntarily induced abortion were randomized to observation group(Group S)and control group(Group K)(n=40).Sufentanil 0.1ug/kg combined with propofol was administered in Group S while ketamine 0.5mg/kg combined with propofol in Group K.The change of heat rate,blood pressure,breath rate and oxygen saturation were recorded during operation.Other outcome including intraoperative and postoperative analgesia effect,the total dose of propofol,operation duration,the time for emergence and leaving hospital,and adverse events,were observed.Results The intraoperative and postoperative analgesia effects in Group S were better than that in Group K(P0.05).In addition,both the time for emergence and leaving hospital in Group S were shorter than that in Group K(P0.05).Conclusions Propofol combined with sufentanil on induced abortion is safe and effective,and its effects are better than propofol combined with ketamine.
