Effect of western medicine combined with Chinaese traditional medicine in the treatment of peptic ulcer

Objective To observe the clinical effect of western medicine combined with China′s traditional med- icine in treating peptic ulcer(PU). Methods From October 2011to October 2012,86PU patients in Jing- gu Dai and Yi autonomous county people′s hospital were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,43cases in each group.The control group were treated with western medicine,the treatment group were added Chinese medicine on the basis of control group.The clinical effects after 4courses(7days per course)and the recurrence rate after 3months drug withdrawal,were compared between two groups. Re- sults The clinical effective rate in treatment group was 93.02%(40/43),control group was 79.07%(34/43),P0.05;the recurrence rate in treatment group was 10.00%(3/30),control group was 42.86%(9/21)(P0.01). Conclusions Western medicine combined with China′s traditional medicine treated PU could improve clinical effect and decrease recurrence rate.
