Abstract
Fourteen wampee cultivars collected from Guangdong and Guangxi were used for RAPD analysis in this study.16 primers selected from 150 random primers were used to amplify 87 DNA fragments and 57 bands(54.0%) showed polymorphisms.Genetic distance data showed that the heriditary conservation among 11of 14 studied cultivars(except Longshan akaryotic wampee,Longchuan akaryotic wampee and white sugar karyotic wampee) was very high(D≤0.1),which suggested that the genetic relationship between theses cultivars was very close.Based on UPGMA analysis, these 14 cultivars were divided into three groups at the level of D=0.15,which was not fully consistent with the morphological traits of these cultivars.
