Abstract
The author analyzes at 3 levels Liang Qichao′s rational spiri t and aca demic approach which are interlinked with Western Enlightenment thought, thus fu rther expounds Liang′s variety in his life from the angle of rational spi ri t. Actually, Liang Qichao and Wang Guowei are the same with independent spiri t and free idea , yet with different ways of expression.
