Abstract
Xie Lingyun and Xie Xuanhui both are pioneer poets who wrote the mountains-and-waters poetry that have far-reaching influence upon the flourish and prosperity of the style in generations to come. Though the poems by Xie Xuanhui showed the signs of imitating those of Xie Lingyun, their poems presented different artistic styles and characteristics due to their different personalities, experiences and the spirit of the time.
