on Xie Lingyun's Landscape Poetic Structure

Abstract

Xie Lingyun was the forefather of landscape poems which were influenced by the then pop-ular Buddhist thought during the Jin and the Song dynasties.Among Buddhist impacts,the factors that greatly influenced Xie's landscaper poems were the leader of the Southeast Buddhism Hui yuan,the Lu Shan Buddhists' theory of Meditation and Fa Shen,and the Tao's Satori Theory.With these influences,Xie developed his landscape poetic structure of Sighting,Feeling,Resonance,and Harmony.The struc-ture is not only Xie's exploration and innovation on the landscape poems,but also his brilliant and ir-replaceable contribution to them.
