Clinical Effect on Treatment of Congestive Heart Failure with “Shenmai Injection”

Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Shenmai injection on congestive heart failure(CHF). Methods Sixty cases of CHF were divided randomly into two groups: 30 cases(control group) treated with conventional treatment(digitalis+diuretics+ACEI et al)and 30 cases(treatment group) treated with Shenmai injection besides conventional treatment. Results The total effective rate of treatment group was 93.3% and was 73.3% in control group, P 0.05. The stroke volume (SV), cardiac output(CO), cardiac index(CI) and ejection fraction of left ventricle(LVEF) were determined by colour Doppler ultrasonic cardiaography. The treatment group was markedly improved after treatment. Compared with the control group, there were significant differences(P 0.05). Conclusion Shenmai Injection is effective for CHF.
