Abstract
Emeiconularia amplcanalis sp.nov. and Carinachites platus sp.nov. of protoconulariids are described from Kuanchuanpu Member of the Dongying Formation near the Sinian-Cambrian boundry of Ningqiang Country, Shaanxi Province. These fossils are diversified in shape and different in size. The fossils of bilateral, tri-radial and tetra-radial- symmetry characterize the Carinachites biota in early Cambrian in south Shaanxi. Tri-radial fossils occur both near the Sinian-Cambrian boundary of South Shaanxi Province and Emei region,Sichuan Province. This is important in dividing and correlating the Sinian-Cambrian boundary. The discovery of two new species improve our knowledge of diversity for protoconulariids. Meanwhile,it provides new clue for the hypothesis about diverse cnidaria in early Cambrian.
