Abstract

Objective To study the significance of TNF-α expression in the placenta in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP).Methods The expression of TNF-α in placenta was investigated in 37 patients with ICP and 33 normal pregnant women by immunohistochemical method.Results The level of TNF-α expressed in ICP patients was higher than that in normal pregnant women(P0.05).Conclusion The expression of TNF-α in placenta is related to the development of ICP,with its pathogenetic mechanism to be explored.
