Abstract
Objective:It carried on a randomized,placebo-controlled,double-blind study to evaluate the curative effect of dispersing stagnated liver-qi,invigorating spleen and warming kidney on patients with IBS-D.Methods:37 patients with IBS-D were divided randomly,18 patients were treated with the decoction of dispersing stagnated liver-qi,invigorating spleen and warming kidney,19 patients were treated with placebo treatment.Course of treatment was 8 weeks. The changes of the IBS Symptom Severity Score(SSS),the score of single item symptom and the Chinese medicine symptom integral and mental condition were observed to evaluate the security and effect. Results:In IBS-SSS,the total effectiveness in treatment group was 70.6%,in control group was 61.1%,and there was no significant difference. In Chinese Medicine syndrome, the total effectiveness in treatment group was 47.1%,in control group was 22.2%,and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P0.01).Conclusions:The method of dispersing stagnated liver-qi,invigorating spleen and warming kidney can stop diarrhea when treating IBS-D,and it is effective, practical and safe.
