Clinical effects of atorvastatin combined with ultrasonic in the treatment of patients with carotid atherosclerotic plaque

Objective To discuss the clinical effectsof atorvastatin combined with ultrasonic in patients with carotid atherosclerotic plaque.Methods A total of 124 patients with carotid atherosclerotic plaque were randomly divided into the observation group(n=62)and the control group(n=62).The control group was treated with atorvastatin,and the observation group was treated with atorvastatin combined with ultrasonic,and then the clinical effects were compared between the two groups.Results After the treatment,there were more patientswith stable plaque in the two groups(P0.01).There were less patients with unstable plaque(P0.01).The observation group was significantly better than the the control group(P0.05),and patients with no plaque in the observation group were significantly more than those in the control group(P0.05).Carotid IMT and plaque area were significantly smaller after treatment in the two groups(P0.01),andsignificantlysmallerintheobservationgroupthanthecontrolgroupaftertreatment(P0.01).TC,TG,and LDL-C in the two groups were significantly lower than before in the two groups(P0.01),and the observation group were significantly lower than the control group(P0.01).Conclusion Atorvastatin combined with ultrasonic has better effects in lowering blood lipid levels and enhancing atherosclerotic plaque stability in the patients with carotid atherosclerotic plaque than single atorvastatin does.Thus it's worthy to be promoted.
