Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of lumbrokinase coupled with atorvastatin on carotid plaque in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods 100 patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into observation group and control group.Patients in the control group were treated with atorvastatin, while patients in the observation group with atorvastatin and lumbrokinase.Color Doppler ultrasonography was used to test carotid plaque before and after treatment.Levels of plasma fibrinogen and serum lipid in the two groups were measured. Results In the treatment group, the serum levels of serum fibrinogen,TG,TC,and LPL-C were all significantly lower in 6 months after treatment than those before treatment.Size and thickness of the carotid plaque and IMT were statistically different compared with those before treatment or those in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Combination of Lumbrokinase and Atorvastatin significantly improve carotid plaque in patients with acute cerebral infarction.
