Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical value of serum CEA、CA19-9、CA72-4 in patients with gastric cancer. Methods: The levels of serum CEA,CA19-9 and CA72-4 were measured in patients with gastric cancer, benign gastric diseases and normal control by an electrochemiluminescence method, the data were carried on statistics analysis. Results: The levels of serum CEA,CA19-9 and CA72-4 in patients with gastric cancer were significantly higher than in benign gastric disease patients and normal control, the difference was statistically significant(P0.01).The levels of serum CEA,CA19-9 and CA72-4 showed no significant difference among different differentiation groups of gastric cancer(P0.05),and between lymph node metastasis group and non-metastasis group(P0.05).ROC curve were applied in analysis of CEA,CA19-9 and CA72-4 in gastric cancer, the area under the curve were 0.694±0.051,0.651±0.053,0.703±0.049,respectively.Compared with benign gastric diseases and normal control, the difference was statistically significant(P0.01).Conclusion: Combined detection of the levels of serum CEA,CA19-9 and CA72-4 in patients with gastric cancer can improve the diagnostic sensitivity, and provide useful clinical information on the severity and prognosis in gastric cancer.
