Research on relationships between nurses,communication satisfaction and job satisfaction

Objective To explore the relationship between communication satisfaction and job satisfaction of nurses in three hospitals of Sichuan province. Methods A total of 500 nurses were investigated with a self-designed demographic questionnaire,Communication Satisfaction Questionnaire(CSQ) and Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire(MSQ). Results The total score of communication satisfaction was 116.68±14.65 and that of job satisfaction was 58.45±7.36. The job satisfaction was positively correlated with job satisfaction in nurses. Conclusion Both of communication satisfaction and job satisfaction are in intermediate level. Nursing administrators should pay close attention to nurses communication satisfaction,meet the communication need of nurses,and thereby to promote job satisfaction.
