Abstract
Objective To investigate the method which combined application of septal cartilage and auricular cartilage in nasal tip rhinoplasty. Methods 56 patients were operated by using autologous nasal septum cartilage as septum extend graft combined with auricular cartilage as nose tip graft. Results All patients achieved remarkable modifications in nasal contours and achieved natural and beautiful nasal tips,no complications such as prosthesis extrusion, skin or mucosa necrosis and infection developed in any of the 56 patients. After 3 month to 1 year follow-up,the nosal tip remained unchanged, all patients were satisfied with the final results. Conclusion Combined application of septal cartilage and auricular cartilage, the nasal tip is easy to reshap and the nasal anatomy is more closed to normal.
