Population spatial distribution pattern and evolution characteristics of Shandong province in recent 20 years

In order to understand the characteristics of the spatial distribution pattern and dynamics of Shandong population distribution,we used spatial autocorrelation,unbalanced coefficient,Concentration index,population gravity center and shift-share analysis to analyze the 110 cities(counties) between 1990 and 2009.The results show that: ①The population density distribution in Shandong is descending from west to east,and focus to the main traffic trunk lines and urban areas.②The population distribution displays space correlation,and presents high-high concentrationin region of southwest Shandong,low-low concentration is main in The Yellow River delta region.③The population distribution is much more imbalanced and unbalanced coefficient increases gradually,and the population gravity center moving to southwest in 1990~2000,but moving to northeast in 2000~2009.④Population deviation growth among the regions has obvious differences,the total offset the region of southwest Shandong being positive,and negative in Shandong peninsula area in 1990~2000;but in 2000~2009,the total offset the region of Shandong peninsula being positive,and negative in southwest.
