Abstract

Objective:To investigate the distribution of acinetobacter baumannii and the drug resistance in patients in our hospital. Methods:Bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test of strains of acinetobacter baumannii from patients in our hospital collected from January 2008 to October 2009 were done.Results:287 strains of acinetobacter baumannii were isolated from patients in our hospital,in which 85.37% were separated from sputum samples and 42.16% from pediatrics. The resistance rate of acinetobacter baumannii were the lowest to imipenem(10.10%),the cefoperazane/sulbactam was second(27.87%),while the resistance rate to the other antibiotic drug reached 70.38% to 97.91%.Conclusion:The objects assaulted by acinetobacter baumannii were mainly children, and their respiratory passages were main lesions position; The resistance rate of acinetobacter baumannii were the lowest to imipenem,so it was very necessary that the clinicians should select legitimately antibiotics according to results of drug sensitivity test.
