Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of systematical prenatal health education on delivery modes of pregnant women. Methods:One hundred and thirty-six primiparous women were divided into two groups: 79 primiparous women in observation group received systematical prenatal health education, while 57 primiparous women in control group received routine perinatal health examination in outpatient department, the delivery modes and the stages of labor in the two groups were compared and observed. Results:The rate of natural delivery in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P0.05).The cesarean section rate in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(P0.05).There was no significant difference in vaginal delivery rate between the two groups(P0.05).The times of the first stage of labor, the second stage of labor and the total stage of labor in observation group were significantly shorter than those in control group(P0.05).There was no significant difference in the time of the third stage of labor between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:Systematical prenatal health education can improve natural delivery rate, reduce cesarean section rate, and shorten the time of stage of labor, which is worthy to be applied in clinic.
