A Contrastive Study of Repetition in English and Chinese Poetry

Abstract

Chinese and English poems are not only vast and numerous in quantity but with respective great poets and brilliant verses.The paper analyses the similarities and differences in the repetition used in Chinese and English poems and probes into their respective rhetoric functional features,expecting to benefit the appreciation,creation and development of Chinese and English poems.
