Abstract

Objective: To study the expression of serum creatine kinase(CK)and isoenzyme in the neonatal heart and brain tissue damage. Methods: We retrospectively analysed the CK isoenzyme electrophoresis test results by pediatric ICU from January to December 2009,diagnoses of different diseases were grouped according to statistics. Results: In hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE) group, serum CK-BB of neonatal asphyxia respectively accounted for 13.9± 16.8% and 2.6± 3.1% of total CK;CK-MB respectively,2.5± 2.0% and 8.2± 7.5% of total CK;CK-MM,91.4±14.1%,94.0± 5.8% of total CK.CK-MB in neonatal asphyxia group was higher than that in control and HIE group(P0.01).CK-BB increased in HIE group, with significant difference compared with control and neonatal asphyxia group(P0.01).Conclusion: CK isoenzyme electrophoresis play an important role in the diagnosis of heart and brain tissue damage induced by neonatal asphyxia.
