Abstract
Electroless plating method was employed for the surface treatment of hollow microsphere glass. The effects of pretreatment conditions, temperature and reaction time on plating process were investigated.Under certain plating condition, the infrared radiativity e of silver-plated microsphere glass decreased from 1.02 to(0.70.)By SEM and XRD,surface micromorphology and structure of the resulted silver microsphere were observed.Furthermore, silver plated microsphere was applied in paint which showed low radiation infrared performance. The infrared radiativity e of the paint reached 0.80.
