Efficacy evaluation of scalp acupuncture and body acupuncture in treating acute cerebral infarction and its impact on vascular endothelial growth factor

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of scalp acupuncture and body acupuncture in treating acute cerebral infarction, and observe its impact on vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF). Methods 120 cases of patients diagnosed with acute cerebral infarction in our hospital were divided into experimental group and control group. The control group were treated only with medicine, and the experimental group were treated with scalp acupuncture and body acupuncture combined with medicine. Observe the efficacy and VEGF changes in two groups. Results After treatment,the total effective rate of experimental group(94.45%) was significantly higher than that of control group(64.42%). Total integral of experimental group(22.13±5.34) was significantly higher than that of control group(15.38±5.68)(P0.05). After 72 h, the vascular endothelial growth factor of experimental group [(251.20±52.20) mg/L] was significantly higher than that of control group [(245.30 ± 45.30) mg/L](P0.05). Conclusion Scalpacupuncture and body acupuncture has obviously efficacy in treating acute cerebral infarction with positive effects on the expression of VEGF.
