The Leading Role of Lyrics in the Composing of Songs

Among the factors in the interior formation of music,lyrics are the only concrete expression of images and feelings.Lyrics and melody,although belonging to two different categories,get the concrete letter in literature and the abstract musical sound combined in a harmonious way with a unified development.The classification of relations between the themes of lyrics and the titles of songs,the leading role of lyrics in the building up of a three-dimensional crosswise thought of accompaniment are discussed with the conclusion that the leading role of lyrics in the creation of songs should not be neglected.
