Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture and manipulations in treating cervical headache. Method Eighty patients with cervical headache were randomized into a treatment group of 45 cases and a control group of 35 cases. The treatment group was intervened by electroacupuncture, while the control group was by medication.Pain score and clinical efficacy were evaluated and compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Result After treatment, there was a significant difference in comparing pain score between the two groups(P0.05).The total effective rate was 100.0%in the treatment group versus 62.9%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture plus manipulations is an effective approach in treating cervical headache.
