Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of electroacupuncture in treating cervical vertigo.Method A hundred patients with cervical vertigo were randomized into a treatment group and a control group,50 in each. The treatment group was intervened by electroacupuncture, and the control group was by medication. The therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups.Result The total effective rate was 100% in the treatment group versus 60.9% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.01).After treatment, the improvements of blood flow of the basilar artery and bilateral vertebral arteries in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture is an effective method in treating cervical vertigo.
