Studies on the Inner Feelings of the Erchen Poets in the Early Qing Dynasty

Some of the erchen Ci-poets in the early Qing Dynasty were quite productive.Reading their poems,we can catch their rich inner feelings.Although they were officials of Qing Dynasty,they mourned for Ming Dynasty secretly.They selected images which could express their mourning for the former dynasty to reflect such feelings.Because the Erchen poets were not accepted in Qing Dynasty,they often regarded themselves as travellers.Such awkward feelings made them regret for their choice.Some of the Erchen poets wanted to be hermits.They expressed this thought through chanting Tao Yuanming and chrysanthemum.Their inner feelings were rich and exquisite.
