Abstract
A slaughter experiment on Oular-valley F1and Valley-type sheep was carried out.The results showed that average live weight of 9 months old Oular-valley F1 sheep was 38.25 kg,which was 10.17 kg higher than native valley-type sheep(P0.01). Oular-valley F1 sheep carcass weight and dressing percentage were 15.14 kg and 39.58%,which were significantly higher than control group by 4.58 kg(P0.01)and 1.96%.Net meat percentage, proportion of rear legs and loin meat percentage were 29.65%,38. 18%and12.99%,which were higher than valley-type sheep by 4.01%,7.78%and 2.68%.Oular-valley F1sheep GR value and eye muscle area were 8.23 mm and 12.74 cm2,which were higher than valley-type sheep 1.48 mm and 4.38 cm2.
