Abstract
The blood component and the activity of SOD,GSH-PX,CAT in mice blood were determined after different dosage of βcarotene(20,10,5 mg/kg)were given to mice 28 days successively by intragastric administration. The results showed: total number of WBC,percentage of Grannular cells and Mid-cells increased significantly compared with that of control. The HGB,MCH,MCHC,PLT and PCT in the group of higher dosage were significantly higher than those of the control group(P0.05);Activities of SOD,GSH-PX,CAT in liver blood serum and liver of mid-dosage group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P0.05);while BT and CT of higher dosage group decreased(P0.05),and activities of SOD,GSH-PX became lower than that of the control group(P0.05).
