Expression of Survivin and its Correlation with VEGF in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the expression of survivin and its correlation with VEGF in non-small cell lung cancer.Methods: The expression of survivin and VEGF were examined by using immunohistochemica1 staining(Envision two step method.Results: The positive expression rate of survivin and VEGF in NACLC and BPD was 62.1%(72/116),72.4 %(84/116)respectively,which was obviously higher than that in BPD.The expression of survivin was associated with the poor differentiation(P0.05) and lymph node metastasis(P0.05) respectively.However,it was negative correlated with the prognosis;The expression of VEGF was associated with the poor differentiation,TNM state and lymph node metastasis of lung cancer respective1y(P0.05).Besides,The expressions of surviving were corre1ated with VEGF each(P0.05).Condusion: Survivin gene may be identified as a defining diagnostic marker and a potential therapeutic target.
