Abstract
[Objective]To study the subchronic toxicity of bismerthiazol on rats and to obtain its NOAEL and targeted organs.[Methods]According to the subchronic oral toxicity testing method listed in the Toxicological Testing Methods for Pesticide Registration(GB15670-1995),5 doses groups(0,7.0,27.9,111.7,447.0 mg/kg)were set up.[Results]The body weights of rats in high dose group(447.0 mg/kg)were significantly less than those of the groups(P﹤0.01);the ratios of thyroid gland weights in 27.9,111.7,447.0 mg/kg group were higher than that in the control group, and pathological examination showed that thyroid glands had different hyperplasia degrees in all groups and a good dose-response relationship.[Conclusion]The 90 days NOAEL of bismerthiazol is 7.0 mg/kg in both female and male rats, and targeted organ of toxic effects is thyroid gland.
