Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the related factors of adverse drug reactions( ADRs) occurred in our hospital to provide references for clinical rational use of drugs. METHODS: A total of 317 ADR cases reported by our hospital from 2009 to 2012 were analyzed retrospectively with regard to age, drug varieties, routes of administration, clinical manifestation of ADR. RESULTS: Of the 317 ADR cases, female showed higher proportion than males; elder patients( ≥60 years) had higher proportion( 107 cases,34. 75%),the ADRs were mostly caused by intravenous route of administration( 267 cases,84. 23%),mostly caused by anti-infective drugs( 137 cases,52. 68%) and then traditional Chinese medicine( 67 cases,21. 14%),and the ADRs manifested mainly as damage of skin and its appendants( 192 cases,60. 57%). CONCLUSION: It is important to attach importance to ADR monitoring and enhance awareness on rational use of drugs to avoid or reduce the occurrence of ADR and ensure the safety and effectiveness of clinical medication.
