Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of puerarin on unstable angina pectoris (UAP) and its coagulant, fibrinolytic and endothelial function.Methods:70 UAP patients were randomly divided into two groups:puerarin treatment group (group A) and routine treatment group (group B).All treatment effect rate of angina was recorded;the antithrombin Ⅲ(ATⅢ),plasminogen activator inhibitor activity (PAI:a),plasmin activity( PL:a ),tissue plasminogen activator activity (tPA:a),endothelin(ET) and nitric oxide (NO) were measured before and after twenty days treatment in two groups.Results:①The total effective rate of antiangina pectoris was significantly higher in group A(87 5%) than that in group B (60 0%,P0 05).②All indexes of coagulant, fibrinolytic and endothelin level were more improved in group A than those in group B (P0 05 and P0 01).Conclusions:Puerarin is an effective drug for UAP,and obviously improves coagulant and fibrinolytic activity. It also can regulate the relaxervasodilator function of endothelial cells.
