Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of Honghuahuangsesu injection on patients with unstable angina pectoris(UA) and effects of injection Honghuahuangsesu on platelet activation and fibrinolytic activity in patients with unstable angina. Methods Totally 62 patients with UA are randomized to the conventional therapy group(31 cases) and the Honghuahuangsesu injection group(31 cases). The course of the treatment is 2 weeks.Plasma of platelet α-granule membrane protein(GMP-140),tissue plasminogen activator(t-PA) and its inhibitor(PAI-1) levels are measured before and after treatment. Results GMP-140 levels and PAI-1 activity of both UA patients are significantly lower(P0.05),while t-PA activity is significantly higher(P0.05).The differences of GMP-140 and t-PA in the Honghuahuangsesu injection group before and after the treament are higher than those in the conventional therapy group(P0.05).Conclusion Honghuahuangsesu injection inhibit platelet activation effectively and improves fibrinolytic activity, which serves as one the mechanisms of treatments for unstable angina pectoris in coronary heart disease.
