Abstract

In order to improve the embryogenic callus induction rate from mature embryos, different mediums with different hormones are used in the embryogenic callus induction of four japonica cultivars The experiment results indicated that selecting suitable medium is basis to improve the induction rate and the quality of embryogenic callus from mature embryos The hormone treatments have certain effects on the callus induction, with the effects having significant difference for different genotypes and selected mediums The callus regeneration rate is over 80%, putting the high quality calli of four cultivars from different treatments on the regeneration medium with high concentration agar In addition, adding MET to root-promoting medium, the number of acquiring seedlings from each callus is 5 plants
