Abstract
ObjectiveTo observe the effects of basic fibrobrlast growth factor(bFGF) on wound angiogenesis and healing. The rats were inflicted with whole thickness skin trauma. The wounds in treatment group were locally treated with bFGF,the wounds in the control group with isotonic saline respectively.Wound healing time was observed. Wound healing rate was determined.Angiogenesis in the wound was observed.Histological and immunohistochemical examinations were analyzed. After the application of bFGF, wound healing time was shortened by two days. Angiogenesis was active.Granulation was enhanced.[Conclusion]bFGF can stimulate vascular endothelial cells to angiogenesis .The wound healing time of the whole thickness skin trauma can be shortened markedly by topical application of bFGF.
