Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of antiepileptic drugs.METHODS:The results of blood concentration monitoring of 3 kinds of antiepileptic drugs(sodium valproate, carbamazepine, phenytoin sodium) in our hospital during 2003-2011 were analyzed retrospectively.RESULTS:The number of monitored cases for antiepileptic drugs had increased in our hospital year by year, with a total of 1 653 cases/times.Children patients accounted for 38.05% of all cases;more than half of drug concentrations monitored fell outside the normal concentration ranges, except for carbamazepine.CONCLUSION:Correct application of drug monitoring is of significance for the safety and effectiveness of epileptic treatment.
